The Vodafone Sugar Festival in Lautoka enters its final day before the crowning event tomorrow.

The week-long program has seen contestants complete advocacy sessions, talent nights, traditional attire entries and themed outfits.

Judges will now give final marks ahead of tonight’s announcement of the festival’s new king and queen.

Last night the queen contestants held their first public judging, and previously the king contestants were assessed on their advocacy topics.

Evening-only events were confirmed by program coordinator Laisa Tora, who also said there will be no baby show this year.

Tonight’s focus turns to the final judging segments followed by the crowning ceremony.

The closing of the festival will feature a float procession and awards presentation, marking the end of the celebrations.
