Captain Tevita Ikanivere says the FIJI Water Flying Fijians will learn from their ill-discipline and poor decision-making that “let us down” in their 18-38-18 loss to England at Twickenham in the Quilter Nations Series.
After leading 13-7 through tries from Ikanivere and Caleb Muntz, Fiji’s momentum was halted by yellow cards to Selestino Ravutaumada and Josua Tuisova, allowing England to pull away with 17 unanswered points.
Ikanivere scored twice and led by example, but Fiji couldn’t sustain pressure against England’s late surge.
Despite the defeat, Ikanivere remains optimistic, saying Fiji will improve ahead of their upcoming Tests against France and Spain, as they continue building toward the 2027 Rugby World Cup and gaining experience against top-tier nations.
