The Government of Japan has announced that Fiji’s Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, will pay an official working visit to Japan from November 12 to 15, 2025.
During the visit, Japan’s Prime Minister Ms. Sanae Takaichi will host a summit meeting with Prime Minister Rabuka in his honor, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan said in a statement.
“Japan and Fiji are precious friends connected by the Pacific Ocean and partners who share values such as freedom, democracy, the rule of law and human rights,” the statement said.
The two leaders are expected to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral relations, including cooperation in regional security, climate change, and sustainable development.
Japan described Fiji as “a core country among the Pacific Island countries”, noting that Rabuka’s visit will help deepen cooperation toward the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific.”
