Crowne Plaza appoints senior leadership team

CROWNE Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa announced five senior leadership appointments across its operations, reinforcing its commitment to delivering world-class hospitality and positioning itself as the premier destination in the Pacific.

The new appointments are Regina Wilson as director Sales and Marketing, Anand Ravi as director Food and Beverage, Amlesh Kumar as director Events Planning, Ajit Mishra as Rooms Division manager and Shankar Makam as chief engineer.

Ms Wilson has more than three decades of hospitality leadership experience to the role working in Australia, Indonesia, Thailand and Taiwan; and has spent more than five years working in Fiji, previously serving as market director of Sales & Marketing – Fiji & Samoa for Marriott International Fiji and director Sales and Marketing at Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay.

She will lead Crowne Plaza Fiji’s sales and marketing initiatives, and drive business growth and promote the resort as a premier destination in Fiji.

Mr Ravi has more than 24 years in hospitality with an extensive experience in culinary operations and management – having held senior leadership roles with Marriott, Accor Hotels and JP Morgan Chase & Co.

In his new role, he will lead the resort’s food and beverage strategy, elevating dining and event experiences for guests.

Mr Kumar – a seasoned professional in event management and corporate hospitality – will oversee all events at the resort, from conferences to weddings, and will play a key role in launching the new convention centre and ballroom this month, positioning Crowne Plaza Fiji as a premier destination for business and corporate events in the South Pacific.

Mr Mishra joins Crowne Plaza Fiji with a strong background in hotel operations and guest services and will manage front office, housekeeping, and guest relations teams.

Mr Makam brings over a decade of expertise in engineering and facilities management within the hospitality sector, having previously worked at The Indian Hotels Company and ITC Hotels.

He will be responsible for the maintenance and technical operations of the resort to ensure a safe and efficient environment for guests and staff alike.

“With our new convention centre and ballroom set to launch in November, the resort is poised to reach new heights,” Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa general manager Sudhir Yadav said.

“This experienced leadership team brings the expertise and vision necessary to fully realise the potential of these facilities and they will be key in maintaining the highest standards of service, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence,” he said.
