The Fiji Meteorological Service has cancelled the heavy rain warning that had been in place for the eastern parts of Viti Levu, the Northern Division, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.
In its latest special weather bulletin issued at 2.30pm today, the department said a weak trough of low pressure remains over the group and is expected to bring cloudy periods with occasional showers over most areas in the coming days.
Members of the public are advised to remain alert for localised weather changes, particularly in areas prone to flash flooding.
