A heavy rain warning remains in force for the eastern parts of Viti Levu, including Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, and Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, as well as the Northern Division, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu, and nearby smaller islands.

Meanwhile, the warning previously issued for the Western parts of Viti Levu, Yasawa, and Mamanuca islands has been cancelled, the Fiji Meteorological Service said.

A trough of low pressure over the group is slow moving but is expected to gradually weaken later today.

Residents in affected areas are advised to expect occasional rain, heavy at times, and a few thunderstorms, with rain gradually easing later in the day.

The Meteorological Service has warned of possible isolated flash flooding in low-lying areas.
