THE Nakoivalu Sunshine Netball Academy proudly extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, whose timely and generous support has further strengthened the Academy’s mission to develop and empower youth through the sport of netball.
A momentous occasion took place on October 29, at the Nasinu Multi-Purpose Court, where the Ministry conducted a handover of training equipment to the Academy.
This event symbolised a pivotal moment for the Academy, serving as a central training hub and the coordinating entity for the Naitasiri South Netball Association.
Unaisi Nakoivalu, the esteemed Founder and Director of the Nakoivalu Sunshine Netball Academy, expressed sincere thanks to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Assistant Minister, Aliki Bia, for their unwavering support and belief in the Academy’s vision.
“We are deeply thankful to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Assistant Minister, Hon. Aliki Bia, for their encouragement and belief in our vision,” said Nakoivalu.
“Your continued leadership in investing in grassroots sports has inspired our players and given our community a renewed sense of pride and purpose.
“With this support, we are more determined than ever to empower youth, nurture talent, and promote unity through sport.”
The Nakoivalu Sunshine Netball Academy, based in the semi-rural–urban district of Nasinu in Naitasiri, currently boasts a growing network of over 300 followers and has successfully recruited more than 80 community members into its training programs.
Guided by its motto, “Uniting Communities, Empowering Generations – One Pass at a Time,” the Academy is committed to developing athletes who embody resilience, discipline, and leadership.
