Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu joined Pacific policing leaders at the 2025 International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Conference held in Denver, Colorado, from October 18–21.

The event — the world’s largest gathering of police professionals — brought together over 35,000 law enforcement leaders from 189 countries to share insights and explore strategies for enhancing community safety under the theme “Above and Beyond.”

Fiji Police said Commissioner Tudravu’s participation alongside chiefs from Micronesia, Kiribati, the Marshall Islands, Palau, Solomon Islands, Tonga, and Vanuatu further strengthened regional and global partnerships in law enforcement.

Notable sessions included presentations by the New York Police Department (NYPD) on extremism, youth engagement, artificial intelligence, and deepfakes.

The Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police (PICP) said the conference highlighted the region’s commitment to collaboration, innovation, and leadership in policing.

“Together, we stand for a safer, more connected Pacific,” a PICP statement said.
