Fly-half Caleb Muntz announced his arrival at the French Pro D2 competition with a dominant debut performance for Provence Rugby against the USON Nevers in round seven of the competition recently.

The 24-year-old helped his Provence side to a 39-33 win scoring 16 points for the team last Saturday at the Stade Maurice David in Aix-en-Provence, France.

It was a memorable debut for Muntz as he converted five goals and scored his first try of the competition in the 25th minute of the game.

Muntz was at the helm for most of his team offensive runs, with some barnstorming runs, strong passes and an exceptional kicking game.

On the defensive end, he made seven tackles and won two important turnovers for his team.

The Rava, Savusavu native is set to share the playmaking role with former Swire Shipping Fijian Drua teammate Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula next month when the FIJI Water Flying Fijians set out for their Autumn International Test fixtures.

His fine form will be a boost to head coach Mick Byrne, as some members of the team prepare to venture from Fijian shores for London, England where they will convene with the rest of the 32-member squad plying their trade in European clubs.

The Flying Fijians will begin the 2025 Autumn Nations Series against England on Sunday, November 9 at the Allianz Stadium at Twickenham in London, followed by a showdown with France on November 15 in Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux in Bordeaux, France.
