TAILEVU rugby celebrated another significant step in the union’s mission to rebuild and elevate rugby across their province.

This as the Standard Concrete-sponsored side commenced to the semi-finals of the Skipper Cup this Saturday after beating Lautoka over the weekend at Churchill Park.

Speaking after the win, Tailevu Rugby Football Union president Joseph Rodan Snr gave glory to God and reflected on the union’s renewed vision since the election of the new executive in June.

“I have always reminded our players and officials to trust the process of sustainable grassroots rugby development and career pathways. This process is not only about winning games today, but about building a system that produces future leaders, coaches, and players for Fiji Rugby.”

Rodan called for humility and focus as the team prepares for the semi-final.

“As I always tell the team, a win is a win. We celebrate this moment, but on Monday we go back to the drawing board. We will re-strategize, correct our mistakes, and prepare well for the semi-final. We take one game at a time and trust that our hard work will continue to bear fruit.”

Rodan also acknowledged their sponsors, the players and everyone involved in ensuring the team is taken care of during their training camps.

He also thanked their families and fans for their unwavering support towards the team this season.

Tailevu will face Naitasiri in the semis.
