DEFENDING champions Suva proved their strength in the Extra Futsal Inter-District Championship 2025 by securing a dominant 8-1 victory over Lautoka in the semi-final match held at Vodafone Arena in Suva yesterday.
Taking an early lead, Suva controlled the game with goals from Ramzan Khan and Rajneel Singh, entering halftime with a 2-0 advantage.
The capital team maintained their dominance in the second half, with Shivnal Prasad, Filipe Baravilala, Aman Naidu, and Merrill Nand each finding the back of the net.
Rajneel Singh contributed two more goals to secure the convincing win, while Lautoka managed a solitary goal through Aron Naicker.
Merrill Nand’s exceptional performance earned him the title of Extra Player of the Match.
Suva’s impressive run in the tournament included topping Group B with three convincing victories.
