Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says the Constitutional Offices Commission (COC) will deliberate on the status of Acting Commissioner of Corrections Sevuloni Naucukidi, who has been charged with criminal intimidation.

Mr Rabuka confirmed that the matter will be discussed by the commission.

“The COC will continue,” he said.

“He has been charged therefore the acting status will have to be confirmed or revoked and the new selection take place.”

Mr Rabuka also confirmed that discussions among commission members had already begun through correspondence.

“We have sent in our comment, the flying minutes was sent out by the secretariat and they have to compile and come back with how many have voted for revocation, how many have given the benefit of the doubt.”
