A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers continues to affect the northern and eastern parts of Fiji, according to the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi.
The system is expected to bring occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Northern Division, Sigatoka to Korolevu, Serua to Namosi, Navua, Suva to Nausori, Tailevu, Naitasiri, Ra, Kadavu, and nearby smaller islands, including the Lau and Lomaiviti groups.
The Weather Office warns that isolated heavy falls could lead to flash flooding of low-lying areas.
Elsewhere across the country, conditions are expected to remain generally fine apart from isolated afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms.
A strong wind qarning remains in force for the land areas of the Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu, Taveuni, Yasawa, and parts of Vanua Levu, including eastern coastal areas from Wailevu through Savusavu to Buca Bay and up to Tunuloa, as well as coastal areas from Sigatoka to Korolevu, Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Ra-Rakiraki, and southern Bua including Yadua Island.
