A man is believed to have died following a house fire in Navolau No. 1 Village in Ra late last night.
The man is in his twenties and was alone at home.
The fire broke out at around 11:30pm last night and National Fire Authority responded to the emergency.
Villagers had reported seeing the deceased at the house around 10pm.
“He was seen going inside the house shortly before the fire. No one else was home as his family is currently in Navua,” a villager told The Fiji Times on condition of anonymity.
The body of the man was discovered after the blaze was controlled.
Police and NFA are investigating.
