Deputy Prime Minister Professor Biman Prasad has issued a warning to the public about a fake Viber account using his name and photograph.
In a statement yesterday, he clarified that the mobile number 2349508 is not linked to him in any way and urged people not to engage with the account or share any personal information.
“All official information or communication from me is shared only through verified Government platforms and official media channels,” Prof. Prasad said.
The matter has been reported to Police for investigation.
He thanked the public for their vigilance.
Last week a man was charged for impersonating the Commissioner of Police on Viber.
