Formidable company is what the Powervolt Suva football team finds themselves alongside with in their 2025 FMF Inter-District Championship pool, and its head coach Babs Khan knows it.

Khan, who is also known as Maxwell Thaggard, returns to the Capital City side after coaching Navua during the 2025 Extra Battle of the Giants tournament in Labasa, and says Suva’s progress is underway.

Ticks in the boxes of their progress came from securing the necessary points in three national league games to qualify for this year’s IDC.

As they continue their preparations before heading down to the soccer crazy host town of Ba, he also knows having defending champions Labasa and teams such as Ba and Lautoka would leave them in a wary state.

And like any other side venturing into a tournament as major as the IDC, his brigade in white will take each game as it comes.

Suva’s first pool fixture against the hosts will kick-off next Tuesday at 6pm at the 4R Stadium, also known as Govind Park.
