Judgement on a 2019 case involving former executive of a large corporate organisation is expected to be delivered in January next year, almost two years after the trial ended.

The man’s indecent assault case was scheduled for judgment at the Suva Magistrate’s Court yesterday, but it has once again been deferred to January 16, 2026. He is alleged to have indecently assaulted a woman twice between June 25 and September 13, 2019.

This newspaper understands the matter has been pending judgment since March 2024.

The two counts of indecent assault against the man were sanctioned by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

He is currently on bail.
