National Federation Party president Parmod Chand says the party is growing, multiplying, and becoming stronger than ever.
Mr Chand said the strength of the party was it’s members and supporters across the country.
“We are getting better. We are multiplying our branches. We have active branches,” he said.
While speaking during the party’s national convention at the Labasa Civic Centre, he said at the time of the party’s last convention in October last year, NFP had four offices across the country.
Today, that number has increased to seven, with three more in the pipeline, including one in Suva.
“We have survived the pitfalls of the politics of connivance, racism, disease, draconian laws and decrees,” he said.
Despite these challenges, he said the party had remained committed to its founding principles of multi-racialism, multi-culturalism and multi-ethnic unity.
“Today, we continue to live by those values as we stand tall in Fiji’s political landscape.”
He said their party leader was a fearless and visionary leader.
“In government, our leader is doing a splendid job in steering our national economy. He is restoring confidence and bringing stability to the lives of ordinary Fijians.”
Mr Chand said the future of this country depended on unity, vision, and service, which the party stood for.
