Chinese nationals Xu Qiang and Wang An appeared at the Nadi Magistrates Court under heavy police escort, following their arrest in connection with the discovery of more than 800 grams of methamphetamine.
The pair were brought before Magistrate Semi Babitu, who adjourned the matter to September 29 to allow for the court to arrange a Chinese translator.
The two were arrested are believed to be linked to a drug interception in Namaka and have been jointly charged with one count of Unlawful Possession of Illicit Drugs.
Police say the case may also be connected to ongoing investigations in the Southern Division.
