League quarters heat up

THE national quarter-finals of the Vodafone Cup and the FNRL Womens rugby league competition are set to light up Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori tomorrow.

It’s the latest progression of the competition from its elimination round last week at the Bidesi and Buckhurst Park grounds for the men and at Churchill Park in Lautoka for the women.

The quarter-finals for both competitions will fully utitlise both grounds at the park in Nausori.

At Ratu Cakobau Park ground one, the first FNRLW quarter-final between USP Raiders and the Nabua Broncos kicks off at 9am.

At 10am, the first Vodafone Cup quarter-final kicks off between Navy Albatross and Police Sharks.

The second quarter-final between the Ravoravo Rabbitohs and the Namuaniwaqa Sea Eagles kicks off afterwards at 11.40am.

At 1pm, Saru Dragons takes on the USP Raiders in the third quarter-final.

The last quarter-final match to be played at ground one will be at 2.40pm between Vusu Raiders and the Nadera Panthers.

Meanwhile at Ratu Cakobau Park ground two, the second FNRLW quarter-final kicks off at 10am between the Lami Steelers and the Yasawa Saints.

At 11.40am, Police Sharks face the Laselase Cowboys in the third FNRLW quarter-final.

The last FNRLW quarter-final at 1pm sees the Nadonumai Steelers take on the Namoli West Tigers.

The Fiji National Rugby League announced on its official page on social media platform Meta that the venue for the quarter-finals had also changed since grounds in the Western Division were unavailable.

Match times were also amended to accommodate the arrival of quarter-finalists travelling from the West.
