EXTENSIVE footprint across Asia Pacific had earned Amalgamated Telecom Holdings (ATH) a 10.30per cent increase in revenue for its financial year ending June 30, 2025, taking it past the $1billion mark for the first time in its history.

Group operating profit also notched a historic $112 million at the year end, an increase of $54million from last year’s $58m.

Announcing its financial results at the South Pacific Stock

Exchange (SPX), ATH attributed the positive results to enhanced operational efficiency and market expansion.

“Robust performance in Papua New Guinea, Fiji and Vanuatu significantly contributed to these results, while other markets also delivered positive outcomes,” it stated.

ATH board chairman Attar Singh said positive performance in various product segments including Vanuatu despite earthquake impacts further contributed to the Group’s success.

He said the Group operates in a highly capital-intensive sector and continuous demand for data in their Pacific markets continued to stretch resources and required extensive planning in order to meet customer demands.

“ATH is excited about the future prospects as we continue to innovate and adapt to the evolving market landscape,” Mr Singh said.

“We remain committed to delivering value to our shareholders and stakeholders.”

The group’s revenue was mainly driven by strong performances in its call revenue and data network and Internet revenue streams, which together accounted for about $740million.

Through a conglomerate of wholly owned and jointly owned companies, ATH has market presence in Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Kiribati, Samoa, American Samoa, Cook Islands, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

ATH is listed on SPX and last traded at $1.99 a share when this edition went to press.
