BA boxer Kolinio Luvelolo is determined to make his mark when he steps into the ring against Bryan Roberts in the Masa South Pacific Light Heavyweight Title clash at the FMF Bluewater Boxing Promotion in Nadi tomorrow.
The Navala, Ba, native has been hard at work preparing for the showdown, describing his build-up as disciplined and focused.
The Masa title is a South Pacific regional title and it serves to elevate local and regional boxers for greater international exposure and competition.
“My preparation has been going on well. I have been training every day because I know this is a big fight for me,” Luvelolo said.
He is confident his effort in the gym will translate into a dominant display in the ring.
“It won’t take long because I know I have been training hard for this fight,” he added with determination.
While respectful of his opponent’s effort, Luvelolo sent a clear warning ahead of the title bout.
“To my opponent, I know you have been training well. As you come to Fiji, you come knowing there will be war between you and me,” he said.
At the same time, he called on his supporters to rally behind him on fight night.
“To all fans, I’m inviting all of you to come and support this fight on Friday. Come in numbers,” he urged.
For Luvelolo, Friday’s title clash is not just another fight it is an opportunity to showcase the spirit of Ba boxing and his dream of climbing higher in the sport.
The main bout will see Savenaca Naliva and Alifereti Kauyaca go head-to-head in the Cruiserweight Championship showdown.
The weigh-in for the boxing event will be held today at 1pm at Nai Dais opposite the Nadi market where all boxers will be present.
