The 2025 National Agriculture Show brought together farmers, stakeholders, partners, and the public to celebrate the backbone of Fiji’s economy — agriculture.
In a statement, the Agriculture Ministry said this year’s theme, “Be Resilient, Produce Smart, Go Local and Grow Agro-Tourism” underscores the call for sustainable, innovative, and locally driven solutions that not only strengthen food security but also unlock opportunities in agri-tourism development.
“For decades, agriculture has been more than just a livelihood for Fijians,” a statement from the ministry said.
“It has been the foundation of food security, rural development, and national growth. Despite challenges from climate change, volatile markets, and natural disasters, agriculture continues to sustain families, create jobs, and contribute significantly to the nation’s economy.”
The ministry adds the event has grown into an annual platform that not only celebrates farmers but also showcases the innovations and opportunities shaping the future of agriculture.
