Indian Naval Ship INS Kadmatt has sailed more than 7000 miles to Fiji to build bridges of friendship through professional exchanges with the Fiji Navy and the local communities.

Speaking at a deck reception aboard the ship, Acting Prime Minister and Finance Minister Professor Biman Prasad reaffirmed Fiji’s commitment to working with India to promote peace, security, and sustainable development across the Indo-Pacific.

“This occasion is not only a celebration of a ship’s visit,” Prof Prasad said.

“It is a celebration of friendship, of trust, and of the enduring partnership between Fiji and India.”

The event was attended to by Cabinet ministers and members of the diplomatic corps.
