Wainiqolo, Masi impress for Lyon

Flying Fijians duo, Jiuta Wainiqolo and Iosefo Masi, impressed for Lyon Rugby over the weekend in the French Top 14.

The two played a huge role in the club’s 25-18 win over Montauban in round two of the competition.

Masi playing his second Top 14 match for the club scored in the 38th minute.

Wainiqolo kept his rampaging form since moving from Toulon to score his first and the match winning try.

Former Fiji 7s player Josua Vici featured for the opposing team and scored a try.

Former Wallaby Suliasi Vunivalu scored a try in La Rochelle’s 34-16 thrashing of Clermont while Nathan Hughes crossed for Racing 92 which edged Bordeaux Begles 44-32.

Vunivalu, Levani Botia and Semi Lagivala played for La Rochelle while Alivereti Raka, Pita-Gus Sowakula, Pio Muarua and Tevita Ratuva featured for Clermont.

Racing 92 fielded Hughes, Lekima Tagitagivalu and Wame Naituvi

Peceli Yato, Eneriko Buliruarua, Alivereti Diguivalu ran out for Perpignan

Setareki Tuicuvu played for Toulon and Vilimoni Botitu for Castres.
