A child passed away yesterday due to injuries after a gate fell on her.
The incident took place a prominent school in Lautoka around 6pm yesterday.
The child was crushed under the gate which is located at the back entrance of the school.
The four-year-old was rushed to the hospital but did not survive.
Police spokesman Wame Boutolu said the child was found lying motionless with the gate on top of her.
“She was taken to hospital and pronounced dead by the doctor,” he said.
Investigations continue.
