A trough of low pressure currently located to the north of Fiji is expected to drift south and bring unsettled weather conditions across parts of the country from later tomorrow.
The Fiji Meteorological Service, in a forecast issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi at 5:30am today, said the system is associated with cloud and showers that will begin affecting parts of the group from Sunday.
The outlook for Sunday includes occasional rain expected over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori corridor, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Cakaudrove and southern Bua provinces, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands and Lau and Lomaiviti groups.
In addition to the forecasted rain, a strong wind warning remains in force for several coastal areas, including Southern Vanua Levu (from Udu Point along Cakaudrove to Bua), Eastern half of Viti Levu (from Rakiraki through Tailevu and Navua to the Coral Coast), Yasawa Group, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands and Lomaiviti and Lau groups
