After three years at the helm, Mark Evans will be departing the Fijian Drua in December.
The club released a statement today confirming his departure, stating that Evans is leaving for personal reasons.
Fijian Drua Board chairman Brent Impey acknowledged the dedication and experience Evans brought to the Drua.
“Mark arrived at the Drua at just the right time, bringing an outstanding set of skills backed up by a deep love for and experience with Super Rugby. Mark has contributed tremendously to getting the foundation in place for the Drua to be successful both on and off the field.
“Mark has set-up the Drua as a professional sports operation that enjoys the best broadcast stats in the Pacific, an incredible offline and online fanbase, incorporated the Fijian Drua women’s team, turned on some of the most exciting games of the last two seasons and built a wonderful sporting club, supported by a world-class high-performance team.
“His decision to resign from the role is a personal one and the Board has accepted his notice. We are a long way down the track in terms of appointing a successor and expect to announce the successful candidate very shortly”
Evans will continue in the role until December 31, 2025.
