Ba FC marked their long-awaited return to 4R Stadium, Govind Park in emphatic fashion, hammering Labasa 5-0 in front of a buzzing home crowd of 3500 at 4R Stadium yesterday.

Striker France Catarogo was the star of the night, completing a hat-trick inside the opening 20 minutes with goals in the 8th, 10th and a penalty soon after.

The early blitz set the tone for a dominant Ba performance, with Labasa reduced to 10 men in the 30th minute after goalkeeper Jitoko Vulaca was shown a straight red card.

Despite Labasa’s attempts to regroup, the Men in Black kept control and sealed the win late in the second half.

Substitute Etonia Dogalau struck twice first in the 75th minute and again deep into stoppage time (90+8) to cap off a famous victory.

Ba will meet Lautoka in the next national league fixture.

In other results, Rewa thrashed Nadi 7-1, Nasinu and Suva played to a nil-all draw while Nadroga and Tavua drew 1-1.
