THE semi-final fixtures are set for the U19 grade in the Extra Fiji Secondary School Football Championship at 4R Stadium today.
There will be new champions this year after defending title holders Tilak High School made an early exit in the pool rounds.
In the first U19 semi-final at 8am, Vunimono High School will face Suva Muslim College, while Seaqaqa Central College takes on their neighbors Tabia College in the second semi-final at 9:30am.
Seaqaqa Central coach Mohammed Ifran was proud of his team’s efforts.
“It’s the result of our boys’ hard work. Thank God for His blessings and the support from Seaqaqa,” Ifran said.
The quarter-finals yesterday provided thrilling action. Suva Muslim College edged Shree Gurunanak Khalsa College 10-9 in a penalty shootout after their match ended 2-2 at full-time.
Vunimono High School proved too strong for All Saints, winning 4-1 with a well-structured performance.
Seaqaqa Central maintained composure to beat Ba Methodist 1-0, while Tabia College wrapped up the U19 quarter-finals in style with a dominant 4-0 victory over Sigatoka Andhra.
