LABASA College U17 team could not contain their excitement after holding Ba Sangam College to a 0-0 draw, a result that sealed their place in the semi-finals of the Extra Fiji Secondary School Football Association Championship.
It was a well-structured and competitive match, with Ba Sangam piling on the pressure in search of a goal.
However, Labasa College remained composed and confident in defense, showing discipline until the final whistle.
Labasa’s journey to the semis included a strong 2-0 victory over Rishikul Sanatan in their opening match and a 1-1 draw against Tilak High School.
Head coach Roneel Ram was full of gratitude after the qualification.
“I want to thank God Almighty and our supporters. We have qualified for the semis, and now our focus is to assess injuries. Come the semis, we will be prepared,” he said.
