As the Suva Netball Association’s season of competition comes to an end tomorrow with its grand finals, the hard work shown by all teams has been commended by the association’s secretary Lepani Justice Volahiga.
Volahiga said with their club games having an increase of teams from last year, it gave way to robust levels of competition.
“The competition through the season has been really great. It’s good to see new clubs, new players have really shown they’ve grown in the sport,” Volahiga said.
He highlighted how this indicated the association’s overall growth.
“I must really applaud the hard work put in by the clubs for preparing these players very well,” he said.
Meanwhile, tomorrow’s grand finals will be the culmination of a 12-week competition that saw more than 100 teams take part across nine grades.
The finalists of the nine grades vary however the intensity flowing within all of them will serve as a catalyst of tough netball matches as they push towards clinching victory.
The finals of each grade, with the exception of the Queens, Mixed, Mens and Super grades, will take place on Court 1 at the National Netball Centre with matches starting at 9am.

Angels: Tagimoucia Jasper v Baby Hoppers at 10am. Roses: Ablaze Red v Lomaiviti Motu Green at 10.30am. Princess: Lomaiviti Gau Green v Ablaze Red at 11am. Development: Lomaiviti Koro Green v Grasshoppers Diamonds at 11.35am.
Premier: Huva Stallions v Army Red at 12.10pm. Queens: Lomaiviti Batiki v CBM on Court 2 at 2.10pm. Mens: Tiki Tribe v Tagimoucia Phoenix on Court 2 at 2.45pm. Mixed: Tiki Tui v Lomaiviti on Court 2 at 3.30pm. Super: Lomaiviti Ovalau v Grasshoppers Gold on Court 2 at 4.40pm.
