We are facing the fastest-growing HIV outbreak in our history, that is a fact we cannot ignore, says UNAIDS Pacific goodwill ambassador and former President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau.
Speaking at the launch of the Power To Life (HIV) booklet in Suva on Tuesday, he highlighted we have the power to change the course of this epidemic.
“Power To Life, is part of that change,” Ratu Epeli said.
“It will help keep people in care. It will chip away at the stigma that still holds too many back from testing or treatment.
“It will give those living with HIV the tools and the confidence to live healthy, full lives.”
The New Zealand High Commissioner to Fiji Charlotte Darlow said the booklet was published in three languages to quickly spread vital information, helping people manage their condition and communicate with their families more effectively.
