NATIONAL carrier Fiji Airways said it has become the first airline to partner with AncillaryBox, launching a dedicated online tour booking platform: tours.fijiairways.com.
In a statement this week, Fiji Airways said the platform offered guests curated access to a wide selection of tours and activities, both in Fiji and across key destinations in the airline’s network.
“This new service enhances the end-to-end travel experience by allowing travellers to easily discover and book memorable activities — from cultural village tours and island adventures in Fiji to urban explorations in cities like Vancouver, Los Angeles, and Auckland,” the airline stated.
“Unlike mass-market platforms, the Fiji Airways Tours portal is purpose-built for quality.
“It uses unique AI-driven algorithms to cut through the clutter and only present the best-rated and most trusted experiences — helping guests enjoy a world-class standard of service, wherever they fly.”
Fiji Airways managing director and chief executive officer Andre Viljoen said the service offers their customers a seamless way to explore and book tours, both before they travel and during their trip.
“It adds convenience, supports local operators and delivers extra value for those looking to make the most of their journey.
“As a full member of the oneworld alliance and the only airline in the South Pacific to offer AAdvantage® as its frequent flyer program, we’re committed to delivering a premium, connected, and enriching travel experience.
“This is one more way we’re helping guests go beyond the flight and into the heart of the destination,” Mr Viljoen said.
The platform supports Fiji Airways’ broader strategy of driving tourism growth, particularly in newer markets like North America, where travellers may be unfamiliar with all that Fiji has to offer.
It also complements the airline’s commitment to local tourism by showcasing and promoting authentic Fijian experiences from operators across the islands, while offering activity options in other ports Fiji Airways serves.
