The Gospel High School under-16 boys rugby team will be out to rewrite history when they face Marist Brothers High School in the Vodafone Deans Championship semi-finals tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
This is the same team that played in last year’s U15 grade and made history by becoming the first Gospel side to reach the semi-finals in any grade but their journey was ended short by Marist.
Team manger Bulewa Tamanisau said they are determined to go one step further this year.
“The coaches have looked at our weaknesses from our last game, and from there, we’ll work on our weaknesses and improve for this week’s game.
“This is the second time we are meeting them (Marist). So yes, again, like I said, we have so much respect for this team, and like any other school, we’ll do our best come the semi-finals,” she said.
She added the support from the school community had been overwhelming and she called for continued support.
They face Marist Brothers at 11.20am.
