More than 250 students of the Nakauvadra High School in Rakiraki created history by participating in the school’s first cadet passing-out parade last week.

Chief guest and Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu commended the parade commander and school headboy Jona Cavunisautu for his ability to efficiently delegate commands.

“You stand tall on this ground and confidently issue commands to those under your command,” he said.

“You have showed a level of confidence that many don’t possess, not even adults. You rose to the occasion and I must salute you for the exceptional parade this morning.”

Mr Tudravu said the cadets had etched their names in the school’s history books by being the first cohort of students to participate in a cadet parade.

“You have created a legacy for yourselves, you have proudly represented your school, your family, your vanua.”

“As students you must act your age when it comes to your behaviour and conduct.”
