THE FNPF-owned IHG Hotels and Malia Clothing Fiji have unveiled an exclusive collection of premium pyjamas, robes and scrunchies designed for visitors to Fiji.

The collection is available exclusively at the three FNPF-owned IGH Hotels: the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, the Grand Pacific Hotel Suva and Holiday Inn Suva, and reflects the traditional Fijian concept of kalavata, a celebration of unity, shared identity and belonging.

“The collection features matching pyjama sets for men, women and children, along with soft island-inspired bathrobes and scrunchies,” the two parties announced.

“Designed by Malia Clothing Fiji’s founder and creative director Natalia Bentley Larsen, each piece showcases modern interpretations of classic Bula prints, capturing the effortless elegance and vibrancy of Fiji’s culture.

“Each piece features Fijian-designed prints by Malia, offering guests a meaningful keepsake that reflects the spirit of the islands and the memories made during their stay.”

The ‘kalavata’ concept at the heart of the collection is a cherished Fijian tradition that goes beyond coordinated attire.

“Derived from the words kala (colour) and vata (together), kalavata is a visual expression of unity often worn by families or communities during weddings, celebrations and significant gatherings.

“It symbolises harmony, solidarity and connection, the idea that we are strongest when we stand together.

“Through this collection, the spirit of kalavata is reimagined as contemporary loungewear, allowing guests to honour Fijian culture through comfort, elegance and shared experience.”

IHG Hotels and Resorts regional general manager – Fiji & Pacific Lacklan Walker said the collaboration “is rooted in everything we value – authenticity, artistry and local pride,”.

“We are always looking for ways to enrich the guest experience and create meaningful links to Fijian culture.

“Natalia’s work with Malia speaks to our island heritage in a beautifully modern way, and we are proud to offer this collection exclusively to those who stay with us.”

The partnership also strengthens the hotels’ support for homegrown talent.

Malia Clothing Fiji was founded by Ms Larsen, who was born and raised in the islands and has become known for celebrating Fijian identity through fashion.

Her use of traditional motifs brought into fresh contemporary styling, has made her a leading name in the Pacific design scene.

“It means so much to me that our prints are part of guests’ holiday memories,” Ms Larsen said.

“This project gave me the opportunity to honour Fijian culture through design, and to share something joyful, personal and real. Seeing guests and families connect with the pieces in their own way is deeply rewarding.”

The Malia Fiji loungewear collection is available exclusively to guests of InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel Suva and Holiday Inn Suva and purchases can be made at the hotel boutiques or arranged through in-room guest services.
