The New Zealand Fiji and Fiji New Zealand Business Councils are once again paving the way for businesses across both countries to explore trade and investment gateways.

The councils will jointly host a conference at the Pullman Hotel in Auckland on September 11, bringing together government ministers, diplomats and business leaders for a full day of discussions on opportunities for both nations.

“This conference is about unlocking new opportunities for businesses and communities across New Zealand and Fiji,” said NZFBC President Chandar Sen.

“As our partnership continues to grow stronger, our joint councils conference in Auckland is a catalyst for increased trade, innovation and lasting connections. Strong business ties are built on trust and understanding.”

The conference will coincide with a business mission led by Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister Manoa Kamikamica, which will visit business hubs in Auckland and Wellington to explore trade and investment prospects.

“We are looking forward to a large group of businesses coming from Fiji for the event and the trade mission. This will also help us reach our countries trade goals of 2 billion dollars by 2030,” said Mr James Trusler.

Many Fijian businesspeople will accompany the delegation to gain insight into new and existing opportunities.
