The Vodafone Cup Eastern State rugby league competition is really heating up as we approach the important part of the season, with Navy Albatross firmly securing their place at the top of the table after round 10.

Having won all nine of their matches so far, Navy is clearly the team to beat with a total of 271 points scored and only 97 points conceded.

Their impressive points differential of +174 gives them a perfect 18 competition points.

The Nadera Panthers are right on their tail in second place with 16 points, also unbeaten in nine matches but with one draw. They have scored 213 points and conceded just 56, resulting in a strong points difference of +157.

In third place, we have the Vusu Raiders with 14 points after ten games. They have been the highest scoring team in the competition so far with 284 points.

Tied with them on 14 points are both the USP Raiders and City Storm, who have also had successful campaigns of their own.

The Police Sharks are a team to keep an eye on as they currently sit in sixth place with 13 points, despite having played fewer games.

The Kinoya Sea Eagles and Makoi Bulldogs are tied on 8 points each, with the Sea Eagles slightly ahead on points difference.

On the other hand, the lower half of the table shows several struggling teams trying to keep up.

The Lami Steelers remain winless with just 2 points from nine matches and a tough -242 points difference.

The Davuilevu Knights and Namosi Highlanders are just above them with 4 points each.

The competition is fierce, and it will be interesting to see how the final rounds play out.
