IN ANOTHER accolade for Fiji’s iconic tourism and hospitality company, the Rosie Travel Group’s Rosie Events Division, was officially inducted into the Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards Hall of Fame on Monday.
Induction into the FETA Hall of Fame is reserved for companies that have won their award category over three consecutive years – and in this case for Rosie Events, it was in the category of C&I (Conference & Incentive) Operator of the Year.
Creative director and co-owner Brigid Whitton said they were honoured to have won this award for the past three years and now to be recognised in the Hall of Fame.
“Rosie Events has grown from a small company division to a powerhouse of conference and special events, ranging from small private home celebrations to weddings and meetings for hundreds, right through to mega events for thousands,” Ms Whitton said.
“I am grateful to have such an amazing team of over forty talented and creative professionals with whom I work and who together, make the magic happen. With every event or celebration, we ask: What is the story? What part of Fiji’s soul are we bringing forward?
“Sometimes it’s the journey of the drua across our oceans, guided by the stars using a tagaga.
“Other times, it’s the strength of our ancestors, the warmth of community, or the sacred connection to the vanua – our land and our people. We bring these stories to life through colour, song, tradition, and place. And we do it together. Our events team, florists, musicians, dancers, chefs, drivers, decorators, transfers, resorts, families — each person is part of delivering this vibrant story to our customers.”
The Hall of Fame is no stranger to The Rosie Travel Group, with their multi-award winning Likuliku Lagoon Resort being the inaugural inductee in 2017 for the Luxury Accommodation category, and then, in 2018, Rosie Holidays was also inducted for the Global Marketing Category. Attending the ceremony, Rosie Travel Group’s managing director Tony Whitton said: “For a wholly-owned Fijian family company to consistently achieve these wonderful accolades is testament to the company’s commitment to providing exceptional guest and client experiences.
“We are proud to stand alongside the previous inductees, whose similar commitment to excellence demonstrates that Fiji has world-class products and services to offer. On behalf of Brigid and I, I would like to thank the FETA board of trustees and judges for this acknowledgement of our service excellence.”
The Rosie Travel Group is the only tourism company to have three of its brands inducted into the Hall of Fame: Likuliku Lagoon Resort, Rosie Holidays and Rosie Events.
