Churchill Park in Lautoka and not Govind Park in Ba, will host the 2025 FMF Inter-District Championship.
The Fiji Football Association made the announcement earlier this afternoon, following word from the Ba Town Council that floodlights for night matches will not be provided.
The Fiji FA explained that when they had confirmed Ba as the host venue, they were told by the Council would work with a contractor to provide temporary floodlights during the tournament.
“However, we have now been officially notified that this will no longer be possible,” the Fiji FA said.
Meanwhile, Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel said the venue change was necessary ‘to ensure the smooth running of the tournament.’
The FMF IDC will be held from October 7-12.
