THE government will soon be getting Digicel Fiji on board in terms of expanding the E-ticketing service providers.
This was confirmed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Cooperatives, MSMEs, and Communications Manoa Kamikamica
“I think the e-ticketing was done under tender, so the tender was awarded to Vodafone but as you probably know, what we are doing is ensuring that other platforms are linked in,” he said.
Mr Kamikamica said the rollout of the QR codes had been completed.
“So, the next step is to get Digicel on board and then I understand, they’ll get SOLE on board as well.”
Mr Kamikamica said this would facilitate the need for more platforms and other forms of payment.
