THINGS just got tougher for Dayals Sawmillers/iXCEL Ba football as they were unable to secure a win in their second group match of the 2025 Extra Battle of the Giants.
With a nil-1 loss to Extra Supermarket Labasa in day one and a nil-all draw with Paradise Seafood Supplies Lautoka yesterday, Ba’s chances of making the semi-finals next week are hanging by a thread.
Ruthless and desperate as their efforts were, Ba could not convert any of their chances.
They dominated possession and forced Lautoka to play defense during the majority of the match, but just like some other teams in the tournament, Ba could not execute their finishing touches.
This means that Ba will need to defeat Nadroga tomorrow to have a chance of qualifying to the last four.
They earned one point from this nil-all draw. Lautoka, on the other hand, with a 2-0 in over Nadroga on Friday and this draw, accumulated 4 points in a tough Group A.
