A 14- year- old student who was standing at the traffic lights in Nabua, Suva yesterday has died after a vehicle bumped him.
Police said the victim was bumped by a vehicle allegedly driven by a 54 year old man.
“It is alleged the 54-year old suspect lost control of his vehicle whereby it hit the side of a bus. As a result his vehicle bumped the student who was waiting at the traffic lights to cross,” police said.
“The child was rushed to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital where he received medical treatment, but unfortunately later passed away as a result of the injuries sustained. Investigations continue.”
