A man was arrested in Savusavu today for the alleged unlawful possession of illicit drugs.
The Fiji Police Force reported the seizure of several small plastic bags and rolls containing dried leaves, suspected to be marijuana, along with cash believed to be proceeds of crime.
The task force, formed to address community concerns over public drinking, unruly behavior, and minor offenses, also made an arrest for drinking in public and recovered stolen items during the operation.
The Fiji Police Force expressed gratitude for community cooperation and emphasized their commitment to addressing concerns about poor service delivery while maintaining public safety.
