Grasshoppers Gold netball team is right on course in the NewWorld Suva Netball Association 2025 club competition.
The team has been in fine form over the past few weeks with their latest victory coming against Lomaiviti Nairai with a scoreline of 47-43 over the weekend.
Elenoa Gukirewa, the team captain and a national player for Fiji Pearls, expressed her excitement for the season ahead.
“We have been doing a lot of training and a lot of preparations from all our grades, from our princess grade all the way to our mix grades,” said Gukirewa.
“The Super grade that my team play in is always exciting and intense sometimes, it was a good one-hour game for the girls, they did well in the match.
Acknowledging the tough competition posed by Lomaiviti, Gukirewa commended her team for their performance in a close match.
She also highlighted the significance and contribution of some Baby Pearls U21 players in their lineup.
Gukirewa extended her gratitude to the parents for their support and attendance at matches, as well as to all participating teams for adding to the competitive spirit of the competition.
