Action packed Sunday

It will be a busy Sunday for football fanatics with power-packed Extra Premier League fixtures scheduled for the day.

Two matches are scheduled to be held at Nausori’s Ratu Cakobau Park with the first set to kick off at 1pm.

This will be between seventh-placed Suva and Nadi which sits at 6th on the standings.

A thriller is expected to be witnessed at 3pm with home team and ladder leaders Rewa set to battle Lautoka.

Nadroga will also be in action at 1pm as they host Ba at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

Tavua faces an uphill battle as they are scheduled to face Labasa at the Fiji Football Academy in Ba while Nasinu will travel to Pacific Harbour where it will face Navua at the Uprising Sports Centre.

Both matches will kick-off at 3pm.

Looking at the points table after round 11, the Delta Tigers have climbed to the top with 28 points from nine wins.

Labasa went down to second place following their 1-2 loss to Rewa last Sunday.

The Babasiga Lions have 26 points.

In third place is Navua with 18 points and is levelled with Lautoka who sits on fourth due to goal difference.

Ba football is in fifth place with 16 points while Nadi is in sixth with 14 points.

Following closely with 13 points is Suva, levelled with Nadroga with a lesser goal difference.

The Stallions complete the top eight.

Nasinu and Tavua find themselves in the danger zone in ninth and 10th place respectively.
