The industry body of the country’s outsourcing sector – Outsource Fiji has commended member operators’ participation at this year’s showcase, having hosted a dynamic and interactive booth that had cast a spotlight on Fiji’s rapidly expanding industry.
Its booth at the week-long event features a rotating lineup of operators that are transforming global perceptions of Fiji not just as a tropical holiday paradise, but as an emerging centre of skilled talent, digital capability, and world-class service delivery.
Outsource Fiji executive director Josefa Wivou said this initiative directly supported the organisation’s 2021-2025 strategic plan, particularly its goals under industry growth, investment promotion, workforce development, and talent readiness.
“By engaging directly with job seekers, students and businesses, the booth aims to bridge the gap between opportunity and awareness, and to promote outsourcing as a viable and rewarding career path,” Mr Wivou said.
He said the Fiji Showcase provided an ideal platform to connect with the community.
“By being visible, engaging directly with the public, and showcasing our member companies, we are actively contributing to building a talent pipeline and attracting investment.
“These moments of direct interaction are key to demystifying outsourcing and making it more inclusive, especially for youth and those seeking new career paths. This is how we transform the future of Fiji’s services industry from the ground up.”
Outsource Fiji marketing and communications consultant Pravin Narain said their members were at the heart of this initiative.
Whether it’s customer service, IT, finance or HR, he said each operator brought a different angle of expertise, and together, operators demonstrated how Fiji was evolving into a serious outsourcing destination.
“By working together, we’re not just showcasing operators but we’re building a movement that supports jobs, attracts clients and grows the industry,” Mr Narain said in a statement.
The showcase ends on June 28.
