THE launch of the 2025 Vodafone Deans and Weetbix Raluve School Rugby competition at Gospel High School in Suva marked another exhilarating new season of grassroots rugby for both boys and girls.
Addressing the audience, Rajnesh Prasad, Vodafone’s Regional Chief Marketing Officer, emphasised the profound significance of rugby in Fijian culture, describing it as an innate part of their identity.
He underscored the vital role of supporting the development of the sport and nurturing young talents right from the start, emphasising that this endeavor was not merely important but crucial for the continued growth of rugby in Fiji.
“We are all in this together, pulling in the same direction, sharing our strengths and resources to reach for that shared vision, we all have for the sport we Fijians love,” said Prasad.
“Our sponsorship is an investment in the future of rugby. We are committed to empowering young athletes to reach their full potential and ensuring the continued success of this dynamic sport for years to come.”
He expressed gratitude for the collective effort in championing this cause and highlighted the importance of pooling strengths and resources to ensure the success and longevity of rugby in Fiji.
Meanwhile, the Southern zone dean’s competition will be held at different venues, Thompson Park in Navua, Veiuto ground, Marist grounds, and Suva Grammar ground two.
