THE Fiji Water Flying Fijians head coach Mick Byrne is confident that he has assembled the best players for their upcoming test match against the Wallabies on July 6 in Newcastle in Australia.
According to Byrne, the most challenging aspect of his job is selecting the team from a pool of talented players, with some quality individuals ultimately missing out on the final 32.
“There are some quality players that have missed the final 32. I think, from my perspective and other coaches’ perspective, we’re very excited by the squad that we’ve named.”
The team’s lineup promises a good balance of skills and potential, and Byrne is eager to see how they will perform on the field.
In the July Tests, the Flying Fijians face the Wallabies first on Sunday, July 6 in Newcastle, Australia and then take on Scotland on Saturday, July 12 in Suva.
